Lava Lamp. ok previously was talking with boyfriend about lava lmap that he said he love it alot. i dont know why.. but he did mention that its beutiful and cool. ok that part i agree. *wink.. just now, i just watched mythbuster and i was "lucky" that this episod they are trying to do some experiment about this lava lamp. i've heard boyfriend said that this lava lamp have once cause a death ... ok here, i got it from yahoo search too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lava_lamp and here they explain something ...

In 2004, Phillip Quinn, a 24-year-old of Kent, Washington, was killed during an attempt to heat up a lava lamp on his kitchen stove while closely observing it from only a few feet away. The heat from the stove built up pressure in the lamp until it exploded, spraying shards of glass with enough force to pierce his chest, with one shard piercing his heart and causing fatal injuries.[7] The circumstances of his death were later repeated and confirmed in a 2006 episode of the popular science television series MythBusters. The show also proved that even if shards of glass are not thrown with lethal velocity during such an attempt, the resulting spray of hot liquid from the lamp could easily cause severe burns to anyone nearby. The show also noted that the safety instructions clearly state that lava lamps should not be heated by any source other than the specially-designed bulbs and bases that are provided.

they made an experiment, it was awesome! haha. so the reason this lava lamp can cause the death is because in the first place ,the victim, were placing the lava lamp on thte stove, which u shouldn't and then, he was standing too near to the lava lamp where its like obvious it may cause incident. ok fact are in. soo, ok dear you may have ur lovely lava lamp but just be careful not to get it over-heated and and dont put it on stove ;)
